The Lennox Story

A dog was taken from his family two years ago and kept in solitary confinement until last night was he was euthanized. The dog had never misbehaved or harmed any person or animal, he was taken because of his appearance. All pleas for the life of the dog, including offers of sanctuary in other countries, were denied. Further, the owners of the dog were not allowed to see the dog, have his collar or his ashes.

You Can’t Fix Stupid

This case shows the risk of making superficial decisions. When dogs are deemed dangerous by qualified people, they should be dealt with accordingly, but as important, the owner who tortured them into aggression should also be dealt with accordingly. This goes for guns, too.

The cities of Denver and Montreal are now indulging in this callous, ineffective and monstrous stupidity by seizing and destroying dogs that are or look like pit bulls.

It is true that this breed, among others, has the physical equipment to maul and kill. However, that does not mean they are inherently dangerous any more than men are inherently dangerous because they have the equipment to rape.

  1. I honestly really feel that breed specific legislation needs to be outlawed. A puppy growing to be vicious isn’t based on the breed of dog, but on who raised the puppy, along with what purpose.
